EBBC began as a Baptist fellowship in Barbourville with a passion to love, grow, serve, and go. We strive to embody Christ’s teachings through worship, fellowship, and active missions that support and uplift the Southeast KY community and beyond.

What we Believe
These beliefs are woven into our DNA at East Barbourville Baptist Church. While this list is just a short summary of our most basic beliefs you can explore deeper by clicking the following link https://bfm.sbc.net/
THE SCRIPTURES
We believe that the Bible is the Word of God. It contains no error, is completely sufficient, and it is our final authority in all things.
GOD
We believe there is only one true and living God. He is the Creator of all things. He has revealed Himself to us in three persons: Father, Son, & Holy Spirit.
MAN
We believe that man is created in the image of God. We believe that both male and female bear the image of God and therefore gender is a gift of God. In the garden, man sinned and brought sin to the entire human race.
SALVATION
We believe that there is no salvation apart from personal faith in Jesus Christ. We believe that in order to be able to have a relationship with God, Jesus had to live a sinless life, die on the cross, and be resurrected on the third day in victory over sin and death. We are saved by grace through faith in Christ.
THE CHURCH
We believe that the church is the body of Christ including the redeemed of all the ages. Additionally, the Bible teaches the importance of believers to be a part of a local fellowship of believers.
THE SECOND COMING
We believe that one day Jesus will return to earth. The dead will be raised and He will judge all men in righteousness. Unbelievers will receive eternal punishment and believers will live forever with the Lord.
